Romatic? never heard of that one lol. I like ALL of them! I prefer short stories in fanfic but long stories in canon- by the time you get into a short story and really start to connect with the characters, the story ends. It's just plain ol' silly. But I may be talking out of my ass... the cider... it's the CIDER!

I like to write about musicians - their life, their love, their downfalls ... pretty much anything that can revolve around a musician, ha. What I mean by musicians are just characters in my stories are always musical. I find them more interesting. I like to read about that kind of thing too and horror, creepy, gruesome stories. I'm not much for romance, but I do like love. Cheesy romance is not my kind of thing and I don't find much comedy writings at all funny.

I like kinda abstract stories. I guess it would be like where the main character might not do much in the story, but it'll talk about the things they think about or do that are kinda...abstract. I like them to be kinda short as well. Of course long stories are good for events though.
I read this one story in one of the books at school that we read and have seminars from. It was called "Star Food" and I can't even remember who it was by, but it was just the kinda story I really like.
When I write stories I try to write like that a little, but I'm usually writing about something that's happened to me, or something I like. Recently I wrote a story about a girl who loved heat, and riding around in her car in the heat. I got the idea for it when I was with my dad and brother and we were driving home in the heat from somewhere. I really love the heat, so I just kinda sprung this story out of the idea.
I'll have to post it sometime.

I like fantasy and romance. Me luvs magic, fairies, and unicorns!!! I like stories where you come to really like a character and you care about them and want to know what happens next. I luv to feel emotion when I read such as happy, sad, or angry. My top fav. books are Twilight, Fairest, and Princess Academy.

I like reading anything really, so long as it catches my attention and keeps me captured. I've been though all sorts of books. I like longer stories, and short ones are ok, but I don't think they have enough detail and whatnot. I'm not much of a writer myself, but I like writing short storied about anything, if it pops up in my head then I want to write it.

Nah, i write in my journal....writing emotions and stuff isn't what I do, instead I put it in story form but that's about it. I'll get around to it, can't rush it or it'll come out bad. Give me a few days, I'll have yours and Sharon's stories done, no worries.

Aww, don't worry 'bout it Mimi. I can wait for a couple of years... No more than five though. He he he. Just take your time. You don't really have to write me a story anyways. You have to write Sharon's though.

Yeah your right, back on topic. I like longer books, ones filled with too much details, it helps with the images I get when I read. But I like the short little ones too, they satisfy my hunger for adventure in the minimum amount of time required, if that makes sense.

For me, length isn't a major factor in the stories I like to read. It's all about the characters and the style of writing. The stories I like most have really strong characters - while they vary from villainous to heroic, they are well-rounded and endearing. Stylistically, my preferences vary quite a bit. It really is all about the characters.
The stories I like to write tend to be character oriented as well. I like to (at least attempt to) write the same type of stuff I like to read.

Let's see what kind of stories do I like? Anything except Great Expectations. Well, that is true for the most part. I like just about any story as long as it is interesting. I enjoy stories I can analyze a lot as well. Currently, I have been looking at a decent variety of stories. I have started reading "Self Reliance" by Ralph Waldo Emerson and also Alice's Adventures in Wonderland along with Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll. Also, I have been making sure to get my healthy dose of dystopian novels. For starters, I recently finished A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, which was very good, and now I have started reading Battle Royale by Koushun Takami which is violent, rather grim, but interesting none the less, having a curious outlook of what human nature can be at its heart. In addition, I have recently purchased Lord of the Flies by William Golding which is supposed to be similar in some regards to Battle Royale.
