I like to go to walmart but I tried ordering online like I usually do but now they require credit cards/checks/and/or walmart gift cards. (Unless I was just looking at the site wrong or something) I used to be able to upload my pics into an album with walmart, order the prints i want then go to the nearest walmart and pick them up within an hour or so. I've heard of places like Photofish and stuff where you can order prints online but they too require credit cards.
Anyway, for those of you who own digital cameras... where do you get your prints developed?

I take my SD memory card to Wal Mart and use the digital thing they have there. But my dad gave me and my sister a portable printer for Christmas so now I can print at home

well you have to buy photo paper and ink when it runs out but it's just way easier and I don't even print that many photos. We've only used the thing three times I think since Christmas and I've taken probably over 500 photos.

Yeah ... you can always do some shopping while you wait. Although the Wal Mart here NEVER has 1 hour photo because they suck. Scrap booking sounds fun ... I don't think I'd be good at it though but there are books out there that tell you how to do it hah

As far as digital prints go, the best quality is usually at a place like Ritz Camera or Motphoto. Places that don't specialize in printing like Walmart can be okay, but not great. With stores like this, you can request special cutting (all digital pics come out at 8X12, not 8X10...so a subjective 2 inches is cut off before u receive the print).
There are places online like Kodakgallery.com and shutterfly.com that print photos, but the problem there is cropping, etc. isn't always exact.
With most consumer level printers, the quality isn't that great. If you are just looking to print out fun pics with friends, etc., they are perfect. But size and quality are an issue if you are looking to do more with your work.
