Before you read this I just want to say that poetry isn't usually my thing. I'm more of a short story/novel writer. But for some reason this came out last night whilst I was doodling in my pad. So, I'm not making excuses for the bad quality of it, just informing you I never write poetry. This is all from the heart.. as is the way with most poetry. *~*
Who in this world do we trust When the ones we love betray us? I thought you would always be there But all this time you didn’t care. You pulled the wool over my eyes And made me believe in all your lies. But now you’ve gone and I have to accept That you strung me along, and now I regret Giving you all of my heart But already I’m making a start At piecing together my shattered dreams Gluing the breaks and stitching the seams. And when I'm finished I'll hold my head high I'll freely admit the times you made me cry. But in the end all I'll say Is thanks for the memories and have a nice day.

I'm aware that it pretty much sucks but I'll probably re-work it a few times... lol. Then it will suck slightly less perhaps!

It doesn't suck! It's simple and kind of predictable, but it isn't bad. The flow is disrupted a little bit by the strict scheme of rhyme, but overall, nice job.
